Fire Retardant Coating Compound
VS Mastik Intumescent Sealant is a fire-retardant sealant used to seal joints and through-penetrations. It is often used in conjunction with other fire penetration sealing systems in which case it would be used last to seal any small openings in the fire sealing systems. This intumescent fire sealant cures to an elastomeric seal to enable dynamic movement (where required). This sealant expands multiple times and chars without letting the fire penetrate to the material where the sealant is applied. The intumescent technology is commonly used with plastic through penetrations with the intent of creating a complete block/seal to stop fire, smoke, oxygen from penetrating further in the event of a fire. VS Mastik Sealant (Intumescent) has a fire rating of 2-4 hours.
