VS Construction Joint Sealant
Product Description
VS Construction Joint Sealant is a fire-retardant sealing system using Ace Panel seal designed to protect building construction joints such as wall-to-wall, floor-to-floor, and wall-to-floor joints.
The system utilizes mineral wool boards, coated on their exposed surfaces with Ace Mastik Sealant, a fire-retardant material applied to a thickness of 1.5–2 mm. The mineral wool boards are cut to size and inserted in a compact, partially compressed form into the expansion gaps between adjacent building elements, ensuring a secure fit and forming a continuous fire-resistant barrier.
After installation, Ace Mastik Sealant is applied along the exposed surfaces of the boards to seal any remaining annular gaps, creating a complete fire barrier.
By installing VS Construction Joint Sealant, buildings achieve effective protection against the spread of fire and hazardous gases through structural joints, maintaining the integrity of fire-rated walls and floors under fire conditions.
Testing Details
- Product is Tested as per ASTM E 814 & UL 1479 for upto 2 hours fire rating.
