Ace Mortar Seal – Certified Fire Stop Mortar for Passive Fire Protection

Ace Mortar Seal is a ready-to-use, one-component, self-curing cementitious fire stop mortar compound. It is intended for use as a mortar compound in passive fire protection systems. It is mixed with water at site and is used as a mortar compound for obtaining a workable mix, which is easily applied at the site of the fire stop installation. After application, it dries up and forms an in-situ cast fire stop or fire barrier. Therefore, if it is applied according to the suggested method of application, it is effective in preventing the spreading of fire, smoke, and toxic gases during a fire. It is used for sealing both horizontal openings, i.e., floor penetrations and spaces under control and electrical panels, as well as vertical openings in the wall for compartmentation, thereby providing a fire resistance up to 4 hours. It is a certified fire stop mortar and meets the requirements of NBC 2016 and BS 476 for fire-rated compartmentation.
